Rick started playing music at the age of 7 on guitar and mandolin, helped along by his father and brother, and learning much on his own by listening to music.

He began playing professionally at the age of 15 and played in a number of local and regional bands playing both drums and electric guitar.
He plays electric and acoustic guitar, electric and standup bass, mandolin, and drums; as well as a bit on the dobro, banjo, flute, keyboards and about any percussion instrument you can throw at him.

His responsibilities include engineering, producing, arranging, mixing and mastering -- in addition to performing.

Rick has run a professional recording studio since 1991, tracking a variety of styles of music and a range of local and internationally-recognized musicians. He also creates music, sound effect, and voiceover tracks for a variety of commercial clients.

Rick is currently touring nationally with The Gibson Brothers, playing mandolin in this multi-award winning bluegrass group.
